Sculpture Work

“Blues in Eb Major”

Blues in Eb Major, 2026
Reclaimed mahogany wood, piano hammer boards, brass screws, acrylic paint

57 × 7 × 3.5 in.

Blues in Eb Major was created from materials collected while assisting in the archiving of Keith Long's sculptural works, including reclaimed mahogany, piano hammer boards, and salvaged hardware. Departing from the layered and concept-driven methods that typically define my practice, the piece emerged through an intuitive response to color and composition, allowing the histories embedded within its materials to inform an exploration of influence, transformation, and form.

“Prayer Beads”

Prayer Beads, 2026
Hand-finished maple wooden beads, braided three-strand cotton rope

90 × 48 in.

Prayer Beads reimagines the intimate form of a traditional mala necklace as a monumental sculptural installation, using hand-finished maple wood beads and a crimson cotton tassel to explore ritual, adornment, memory, and the tactile evidence of touch at an immersive scale.
