Projects

“The Distortion Of”

Exploring how obsession reshapes perception, turning fluid identities into rigid symbols and love into possession.

“Freed Your Ankles and Shackled Your Knees”

Highlighting the restricted movement under oppression as an act of bravery and its resulting scars as its medals of valor.

“I Can See Your Depth”

Exploring the vulnerability we display and the shallowness we assume within others, questioning what “depth” can look like and what changes the way it is presented.

Rebel-Spirit Morgan is a Brooklyn-based fashion designer and multidisciplinary artist whose work fuses traditional craftsmanship with conceptual storytelling. Born in Manhattan in 2003 and raised as a second-generation American, Rebel explores the intersections of identity, memory, and ritual through innovative treatments of classical fabrics like wool, satin, and leather. His collections often dismantle societal expectations by layering personal and cultural histories into garments that are both emotionally resonant and technically refined. With roots in photography and poetry, his designs reflect a narrative approach that embraces vulnerability, texture, and transformation.

Recently graduating with a BFA in Fashion Design at Parsons School of Design, Rebel has honed his skills through internships with international fashion houses including Balmain in Paris and Studio Nicholson in London. There, he contributed to runway look development, technical illustration, sample experimentation, and in-depth fabric research. His design practice is defined by a commitment to storytelling and experimentation, qualities that were showcased in his 2024 debut at The Exxhibit in New York City, where he presented a capsule collection alongside an original musical performance. Whether developing digital simulations or researching historical textiles, Rebel's work seeks to blur the lines between art and fashion, offering garments as vessels for deeper cultural and emotional dialogue.
